Helping Families in Yorkshire

Helping families in Yorkshire find their perfect maternity care

Maternity nurses & night nannies for families in Yorkshire

A maternity nurse or night nanny provides practical and emotional support for families with newborn babies. The care they provide is specialist and supported by years of training and experience giving families the guidance and help they need when they need it.

Maternity nurses and night nannies are trained specifically to care for newborn babies and mums and can help families learn how to care for their new arrival and establish routines and feeding schedules that fit your family dynamic. A maternity nurse or night nanny can also help teach your baby how to sleep through the night which is a challenge faced by most parents.

A maternity nurse or night nanny can be of great benefit to the following families, where:

  • Labour has been complicated and mum needs extra help
  • Parents have twins, triplets or existing children and need an extra pair of hands
  • One or both parents work nights
  • Baby has colic or reflux, or other health issues
  • One or more parent needs to get sufficient rest for work
  • Establishing a routine as early as possible is important
  • Family support isn’t close by
  • Mum needs to return to work quickly

The night time can be the most crucial time of the day for both the parents and their baby. Sleep deprivation is something that all new parents go through, but this can be a problem, especially for working parents or those that run their own business.

Maternity nurses can be organised on short notice, or in advance, and can stay with you for a few days, or a few months until you are ready. If a maternity nurse or night nanny sounds of benefit to your family, either now or in the future, contact Happy Nest Yorkshire on 0113 347 0335  or send us a message and we’ll get back to you.

What is a night nanny?

A night nanny provides support from evening until morning and can help as much and the parents need them to. A night nanny can look after feeds and awake times to let parents sleep.

What is a maternity nurse?

A maternity nurse provides one-on-one care for baby and mum in the comfort of their own home, on an almost 24-hour basis, and is there to help establish routines and enable mum to rest and recuperate knowing that their baby’s needs are being attended to.

Benefits of hiring a maternity nurse or night nanny

The main benefit of hiring a maternity nurse of night nanny is the ability for mum to rest and recuperate after the birth. Mothers that have complications or a cesarian section are particularly aided by the additional help which helps mum get back on her feet quicker and able to resume ‘normal service.’

Your maternity nurse or night nanny can also keep everything related to your baby clean, tidy, and washed, and also assist with preparing feeds and sterilising equipment, allowing mum to spend quality time with her baby or resting. Your nanny can also provide one-on-one support with breastfeeding.

Happy Nest Nanny Agency Yorkshire is ideally situated to provide professional and highly trained maternity nurses and night nannies in Yorkshire area.
