Every parent employing a nanny at home needs peace of mind from an enhanced background check. A Enhanced DBS check is a vital part of the process to prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable children. All professional nannies registered with Happy Nest have a valid and recent enhanced disclosure.
What is a DBS Check
In 2012 The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) merged to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Therefore CRB checks are now called DBS checks. The enhanced process checks for spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings plus any additional information held by local police that’s reasonably considered relevant to the childcarer.
Happy Nest DBS Check
We always complete these checks for our own candidates who are without a recent check, usually at the time of registration.
