Part-Time Nanny in Thorpe Bay, Essex , for one child aged 2
Start date: September 2021
Happy Nest are seeking a fun warm and lively nanny to join this loving family with one little boy aged 2 in Thorpe Bay, Essex. This is a permanent long-term, part-time position, working two days a week ideally Monday and Tuesday.
Now if you’re experienced in the art of caring for toddlers, you’ll know there’s so much to see and do! You will be responsible for keeping this little boy engaged and helping him to explore the world around him. The successful candidate will find joy in leading fun learning activities and also be comfortable boogieing around the room to his favourite songs ‘The Monster Mash’ and ‘Superman’ With that being said, he also loves quiet time nestled in a big comfy blanket with a stack of his favourite books.
Permanent, part time role, working two days, Monday & Tuesday 9am-4:30pm (Wednesdays are also an option with the 2 days).
On a day-to-day basis, this nanny role will encompass the things you’re well experienced in, and a dab hand at. You’ll be familiar with preparing healthy meals for toddlers and enjoy finding new tastes for him to experiment with.
And given your love for the early years, and for supporting him with all his needs as he grows and develops, you’ll love the opportunity to take him to regular classes as well as developing new activities for him to enjoy and explore. He is a bright boy and adores learning about the world around him with regular trips to the Sea Life Centre, soft play and local farms. He loves to learn and be active and builds strong attachments to people who engage with him with warmth and humour.
He is already enjoying counting and number play and really enjoys the social aspects of trips out and being around other children. He is a smiley, giggly and sensitive little boy who would benefit from the care of a thoughtful and nurturing nanny.
Mum and Dad really want this to be a nanny and family partnership, they are keen for their little boy to see and explore the wonder of everything around him. He enjoys stimulating activities so during his nap it would be good to set up some messy play, language games or a tough tray or two.
This little boy does sound like an absolute dream, and we would like to find a nanny that will continue with his routine and also offer new ideas to support his growth and development. It’s a lovely easy-going household with lots of fun and laughter, and with mum and dad both working from home they will welcome a new nanny to support them in caring for their little one.
The ideal candidate for this nanny position in Thorpe Bay will have the presence of mind to ensure all areas are covered, and be creative with new ideas, ensuring that everything is in place for the next developmental milestones.
Your experience in a similar role will mean you’re unflappable, and that you’ve usually got a backup plan in mind to account for the unexpected.
- Fully enhanced DBS (criminal record) check.
- Paediatric first aid
- Checkable references
- Previous experience working with similar age children in a nanny role
The family also have two friendly cats so you will need to be happy around animals.
