Part-Time SEN Nanny in Warrington, Cheshire
Start date: September 2021
We are seeking an experienced Nanny for four days a week for support alongside mum with their delightful daughter aged 14 who has cerebral palsy, is non-verbal and fully dependent on others for her needs. She enjoys reading stories, physical activities and crafts and loves listening to music, especially musicals. She is a bright girl with a great sense of humour who loves to be kept busy. She likes to bake ,take horse riding lessons and like most teenagers enjoys time with her iPad and computer. The family have a good range of resources and play equipment.
Your role will be to support both her and the family with home-schooling, cares and daily routine. You will be required to provide personal care, administer medication, feeds and support her to engage in a range of physical and sensory therapy activities. You will also be required to motivate and stimulate her and find new opportunities to support her cognitive and physical development. The family home is set up to accommodate all her needs. You will be required to provide a mix of 2 to 1 and 1 to 1 care along with the existing team of 2.
This is a fantastic part time SEN Nanny role which offers a competitive hourly rate. You will be working in a friendly environment and have opportunity to receive comprehensive training for this fulfilling role. Previous experience is not essential BUT a passion for delivering the individual needs of this role is vital.
The most important thing for this family is to find a nanny who is proactive and eager to engage with their daughter. This is an active nannying role, and the family is looking for a nanny who is caring and attentive and can maintain an ongoing effort to communicate and engage. The nanny will need to consistently integrate guidance from specialists into everyday activities as guided by the family. They already have 2 nannies who work flexible hours which will compliment yours. It’s important that you also see this role as a long-term commitment. The family also have pets so you will need to be comfortable around animals. As their daughter grows this role has the potential to increase to full time hours.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
8 hours per day
You will need an element of flexibility for this role as the family occasionally go away for a long weekend where you would be required to support the family Thursday – Sunday but this would be reflected with time off the following week
There will also be occasional evening babysitting and weekend shifts to give mum and dad chance to have an evening out together and with their older son.
– Full clean driving licence
– Good state of health and fitness for long walks and regular kneeling/floor work. Hoists provided for lifting
