A day in the life of a new born

Welcome to the wacky world of newborns! Where the days are long, the years are short and the most mundane activities can become the stuff of legend. Let’s dive into the humorous and heartwarming reality of a day in the life of a newborn…

5am: The great awakening
The sun has yet to rise but our tiny hero is already up and ready for action! With a stretch and a yawn that could rival any lion’s roar, the day begins with a demand for milk that must be answered fast!

7am: The nappy chronicles
After a satisfying meal, it’s time for the first of many costume changes. The newborn is a master of disguise, going from a peaceful angel to a wriggling escape artist in seconds flat. The nappy, a fluffy white cloud of comfort, is subject to the laws of gravity and… other natural causes.

9am: Naptime… or not
The sleep fairy comes calling, but our newborn has other plans. Who needs sleep when there’s a whole world to stare at with wide-eyed wonder? The cot’s mobile is a fascinating dance of colours and shapes, far more interesting than catching some shut eye.

12pm: The grand spit-up
Lunch is a messy affair, with more food ending up on clothes than in the mouth. It’s a performance art, really, with the bib as a canvas and milk as the paintbrush. The grand finale? A spit-up that defies physics and lands on the one clean shirt in the room.

3pm: Tummy time trials
It’s time to get physical and our newborn is ready to pump those tiny arms and legs! Tummy time is like a baby gym session, complete with grunts, sighs and the occasional face-plant. It’s a tough workout, but someone’s got to do it.

6pm: The evening serenade
As twilight descends, our newborn becomes a virtuoso of vocalisations. From coos to gurgles, each sound is a symphony, a sonnet, a soliloquy. It’s a language only they understand, but it’s music to our ears.

8pm: The sleepover party
The stars are out and it’s finally time to sleep… or so we hope. Our newborn, however, is ready for round two, three and four of the Great Awakening. Sleep is for the weak, and this little one is strong…!

11pm: The midnight snack
Just when the silence settles, a tiny rumble emerges from the crib. You hope it’s just a small sleepy twitch but nope – it’s time for a midnight feast. It’s a quiet moment of peace and bonding, a gentle reminder of the day’s adventures.

And so, the cycle begins anew, with each day bringing its own set of comedic escapades. In the life of a newborn, there’s never a dull moment, just a series of delightful discoveries and messy milestones. It’s a journey of laughter, love and learning, one hilarious day at a time
